Our Achievements

The AIMMM in its almost six decades of existence has proved its relevance as the only representative body of Indian Muslims. 

Soon after coming into being in 1964, AIMMM tried to restore confidence in the community in the wake of occurrence of communal riots in various parts of the country after partition. 

Establishment of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB)

The Mushawarat played pivotal role in establishment of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) to deal with the question of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and other related issues.

Headquarters at Abul Fazal Enclave

The confederation set up its headquarters at Abul Fazal Enclave in the national capital under the 8-year stewardship of diplomat-turned-politician Shahabuddin.

Batla House Encounter and its aftermath.

During the 4-year period of Dr Z I Khan, the AIMMM had to deal with the situation arising out of the Batla House Encounter and its aftermath.

Several organizations became part of the Mushawarat caravan

With the takeover of reins by Movement for Empowerment of Muslim Indians (MOEMIN) founder and former National Integration Council (NIC) member Navaid Hamid in 2016, a lot of efforts were made to retain the AIMMM's identity, and integrity and influence. During his tenure several organizations became part of the Mushawarat caravan. Many prominent Muslim entrepreneurs, and intellectuals also joined it.
