Concerns over the Passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha

BJP and Its Allies Are Violating the Principles of Justice and the Spirit of the Constitution: Feroze Ahmad Advocate New Delhi: The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat has expressed deep concerns over the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 in the Lok Sabha, stating that the BJP and its allied parties are trampling on the principles of justice and the spirit of the country’s Constitution and laws.  The President of the Mushawarat, Advocate Feroze Ahmed, stated that this bill contradicts the principles of religious freedom, equality, and justice enshrined in the Constitution and violates the fundamental rights guaranteed under Articles 14, 25, and 26. He further asserted that the bill represents a direct interference in the autonomy of Waqf properties and their administration.  Particularly, the removal of the requirement that Waqf Board members must be Muslims and the mandatory inclusion of two non-Muslims is essentially an attempt to strip the Muslim community of its right to manage its religious and charitable institutions independently. Similarly, the abolition of the provision requiring an expert in Islamic jurisprudence (Sharia) in the Waqf Tribunal is an extreme form of communal bias and will create serious challenges.  The All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat has appealed to justice-loving people across the country to take all possible measures to prevent the implementation of these amendments, as their social and economic consequences, as well as their impact on Waqf properties, are clear and undeniable.  The President of the Mushawarat further stated that the organization, along with its member bodies, other Muslim organizations, and secular parties and leaders, will launch a nationwide movement against the threats posed to Waqf properties. He also accused the BJP of using Parliament to spread outright false and misleading propaganda and warned that its controlled media is fueling communal tensions against Muslims. If this is not stopped, it will severely harm the country.  He further alleged that the BJP is trying to mislead Muslims and create internal divisions by falsely claiming that this bill is intended for the welfare of the backward sections of the Muslim community. He warned parties such as the Janata Dal (United), Telugu Desam Party, and other allies of the BJP that supporting this controversial and communally motivated bill will come at a heavy cost for them.

लोकसभा से वक़्फ़ संशोधन विधेयक पारित होने पर मुशावरत का असन्तोष

बीजेपी और उसकी सहयोगी पार्टियाँ न्याय के तक़ाज़ों और संविधान की भावना का उल्लंघन कर रही हैं: फ़िरोज़ अहमद एडवोकेट नई दिल्ली: ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम मजलिस-ए-मुशावरत ने लोकसभा में वक़्फ़ संशोधन विधेयक 2024 के पारित होने पर गहरा असन्तोष व्यक्त किया है और कहा है कि बीजेपी और उसकी सहयोगी पार्टियाँ न्याय के सिद्धांतों और देश के संविधान व क़ानून की आत्मा को रौंद रही हैं।  मजलिस-ए-मुशावरत के अध्यक्ष, एडवोकेट फ़िरोज़ अहमद ने कहा कि यह विधेयक संविधान में दी गई धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता, समानता और न्याय के सिद्धांतों के खिलाफ है और संविधान के मौलिक अधिकारों के अनुच्छेद 14, 25 और 26 का उल्लंघन करता है। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि यह विधेयक वक़्फ़ की स्वायत्तता और उसके प्रबंधन में सीधा हस्तक्षेप है। विशेष रूप से, वक़्फ़ बोर्ड में सदस्य के लिए मुस्लिम होने की अनिवार्यता को हटाना और दो गैर-मुस्लिम सदस्यों की अनिवार्य भागीदारी को लागू करना, वास्तव में मुस्लिम समुदाय से उनके धार्मिक और परोपकारी संस्थानों को संचालित करने का अधिकार छीनने के समान है। इसी तरह, वक़्फ़ ट्रिब्यूनल में शरीयत के जानकार की अनिवार्यता को समाप्त करना अत्यंत सांप्रदायिक कदम है, जिससे गंभीर समस्याएँ उत्पन्न होंगी।  ऑल इंडिया मुस्लिम मजलिस-ए-मुशावरत ने देश के न्यायप्रिय नागरिकों से अपील की है कि वे इन संशोधनों को लागू होने से रोकने के लिए हर संभव कदम उठाएँ, क्योंकि इनके सामाजिक और आर्थिक दुष्प्रभाव और वक़्फ़ संपत्तियों पर पड़ने वाले प्रभाव स्पष्ट और गंभीर हैं।  मजलिस-ए-मुशावरत के अध्यक्ष ने यह भी कहा कि संगठन अपनी सदस्य इकाइयों, अन्य मुस्लिम संगठनों और धर्मनिरपेक्ष दलों और नेताओं के साथ मिलकर वक़्फ़ संपत्तियों पर मंडरा रहे खतरों के खिलाफ एक राष्ट्रव्यापी आंदोलन शुरू करेगा। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि बीजेपी ने संसद का उपयोग अपने झूठे और भ्रामक प्रचार को फैलाने के लिए किया है और उसका पालतू मीडिया देश में मुसलमानों के खिलाफ सांप्रदायिक माहौल बना रहा है। यदि इसे नहीं रोका गया, तो यह देश को गंभीर नुकसान पहुँचाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि बीजेपी मुस्लिम समुदाय को गुमराह करने और आपसी फूट डालने की साजिश कर रही है, यह झूठा प्रचार कर रही है कि यह विधेयक मुस्लिम समाज के पिछड़े वर्गों के कल्याण के लिए लाया गया है। उन्होंने जनता दल (यूनाइटेड), तेलुगु देशम पार्टी और बीजेपी की अन्य सहयोगी पार्टियों को चेतावनी दी है कि इस विवादास्पद और सांप्रदायिक आधार पर लाए गए विधेयक का समर्थन करना उन्हें भारी कीमत चुकाने पर मजबूर करेगा।

بی جے پی اوراس کی حلیف پارٹیاں انصاف کے تقاضوں اور ملک کے آ ئین کی روح کو پامال کررہی ہیں:فیروز احمد ایڈوکیٹ  نئی دہلی:آل انڈیا مسلم مجلس مشاورت نے لوک سبھا سے وقف ترمیمی بل 2024 کی منظوری پراظہار افسوس کر تے ہوئے کہاہے کہ بی جے پی اور اس کی حلیف جماعتیں انصاف کے تقاضوں اور ملک کے آئین و قانون کی روح کو پامال کررہی ہیں۔ مشاورت کے صدر فیروز احمد ایڈوکیٹ نے کہا کہ یہ بل دستور میں دی گئی مذہبی آزادی، مساوات اور انصاف کے اصولوں کے منافی ہے اور دستور کی بنیادی حقوق کی دفعات14،25 اور26 کوپامال کرتی ہے۔انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ یہ بل وقف کی خودمختاری اوراوقاف کے انتظام و انصرام میں صریح مداخلت ہے،بطور خاص بورڈ میں ممبران کے لئے مسلمان ہو نے کی شرط کا ہٹایا جانا اور دوغیر مسلموں کی شرکت کو لازمی قرار دینا، دراصل مسلمانوں سے ان کی مذہبی و خیراتی اداروں کے معاملات کو انجام دئے جانے کی خودمختاری کو سلب کرناہے۔اسی طرح وقف ٹربونل میں شریعت کے جانکار کا التزام ختم کیا جانا، بدترین درجے کی فرقہ پرستی ہے اوریہ سنگین مشکلات پیدا کرے گا۔  آل انڈیا مسلم مجلس مشاورت نے ملک کے انصاف پسندلوگوں سے اپیل کی ہے کہ ان ترمیمات کے نفاذ کو روکنے کی ہر ممکن تدبیر کی جائے کیونکہ ان کے سماجی و اقتصادی نقصانات اوراوقاف پرپڑنے والے اثرات بالکل واضح اور بدیہی ہیں۔مشاورت کے صدر نے یہ بھی کہا ہے کہ آل انڈیا مسلم مجلس مشاورت اپنی ممبرجماعتوں، دوسری تمام ملی تنظیموں اورسیکولرجماعتوں اور رہنماؤں کو ساتھ لے کر اوقاف کو درپیش خطرات کے خلاف ایک کل ہند تحریک شروع کرے گی۔  انہوں نے کہاکہ بی جے پی نے اپنے سراسرجھوٹے اور گمراہ کن پروپگنڈے کو پھیلانے کے لیے پارلیمنٹ کو استعمال کیا اور اس کا پالتومیڈیا ملک میں مسلمانوں کے خلاف فرقہ وارانہ ماحول بنا رہا ہے اگر اسے روکا نہ گیا تو یہ ملک کو شدید نقصان سے دوچار کرے گا۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بی جے پی مسلمانوں کوبھی گمراہ کرنے اور آپس میں لڑانے کی سازشیں کر رہی ہے کہ یہ بل مسلمانوں کے پس ماندہ طبقات کی فلاح کے لئے لایا گیا ہے۔ انہوں نے جنتادل (یو نائٹیڈ)، تلگو دیشم پارٹی اور بی جے پی کی دیگر حلیف پارٹیوں کو متنبہ کیا ہے کہ اس متنازعہ اور فرقہ وارانہ بنیادوں پر لائے گئے بل کی حمایت کی انہیں بھاری قیمت ادا کر نی پڑے گی۔

Condemnation of the Arrest of Zafar Ali Advocate, President of Sambhal’s Jama Masjid “Law and order in Uttar Pradesh are being endangered by the police themselves” – Feroz Ahmed Advocate New Delhi: The arrest of Zafar Ali Advocate, President of the Administrative Committee of Sambhal’s Shahi Jama Masjid, under false charges is highly condemnable. The duty of the police is to uphold law and justice and ensure peace in society, but unfortunately, the Uttar Pradesh police repeatedly disrupt law and order and harm social harmony. The arrest of a respected personality of Sambhal, a well-known lawyer, and the head of the Jama Masjid management is the latest example of this attitude.Feroz Ahmed Advocate, President of All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat, stated today that just as there was widespread condemnation of a statement made by a Sambhal police officer during the Holi festival, the police have now arrested Zafar Ali Advocate, causing unrest and immense anger among the city’s lawyers. The Uttar Pradesh police are repeatedly testing the patience of the state’s Muslim community.Mr. Ahmed further said that under the guise of surveying the Shahi Masjid in Sambhal, the police, in collusion with communal elements, instigated violence, leading to the killing of innocent youths. This has tarnished India’s democratic image globally.Zafar Ali Advocate, the head of the Jama Masjid Committee, was arrested on Sunday on charges of conspiring in the November 24 riots and other allegations. The city was turned into a cantonment for this purpose. Forces from multiple police stations were called to the Sambhal police station. Several companies of the PAC and RRF were deployed. Security forces were stationed at key locations across the city, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation.The environment being created by the police and the government in Sambhal is causing irreparable damage to social fabric, peace and stability in the state.
