Mushawarat condemns the notification of rules for contentious CAA (2019)

New Delhi:

All India Muslim Majlis e Mushawarat, the apex body of India’s Muslim and only federation of renowned Muslim organisations and prominent citizens, expressed its deep concerns over the controversial decision of the Modi government of the implementation of the contentious CAA 2019 by notification of the rules for it just before the announcement of the ensuing general elections in the country.

The decision is divisive in nature, taken for political benefits, and with a purpose to distract from the failure on different fronts. The government has taken the controversial decision to notify the rules for contentious law in spite of it being challenged in the Supreme Court of India by various groups of concerned civil society groups.

Mushawarat is of the firm opinion that the decision once again had not only exposed the communal politics of dividing people on sectarian lines but will also open the avenues for a large scales of influx of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in the North Eastern states which will undoubtly endanger the demography of the indegenious population of these states.

Furthermore, the large scale of influx of refugees from the neighboring countries will be a burden on the India’s economy and will further squeeze employment avenues for the youths of the country who are already forced to opt for risky jobs and migrate to war zones in Israel & Russia.

Instead of  working to chalk out plans to dissuade educated and skilled youths on whom a good percentage of national resources were spent by state on their education, and who are migrating on large-scale because of squeezing job opportunities in the country and renouncing Indian citizenship by migrating to Europe, Russia, USA, and far eastern countries for better employment opportunities in a safe bigotry and violence free environments, the government has decided to push its agenda of vote bank divisive politics.

In the year 2019, the then president of Mushawarat, Mr. Navaid Hamid, had challenged the contentious law in the Supreme Court in the year 2019, but unfortunately, the hon’ble court had only two hearings so far. Now with this new development, Mushawarat is in touch with its learned legal counsels for challenging the controversial decision to implement the contentious law of CAA (2019).
